We waste a lot of time monitoring our ageing process: when we were kids, we wanted to grow up; once adults, we want to remain young. The truth is: age is overrated! live day by day without numbers, without tags...without remorse.
Life according to me, lesson 25
A multicultural, non pretentious view of the things learned so far and daily events, sometimes anonymous, that mark our path...only if we dare to have a fresh start. ///Una vista multicultural y sin pretenciones de las cosas aprendidas hasta ahora y de los eventos cotidianos, a veces anonimos, que marcan el camino...solo si nos atrevemos a empezar de cero.

So true, age is highly overrated. As Jack Benny wittily said, "Age is strictly a case of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter."
ReplyDeleteI'm like that but on a week to week basis.
ReplyDeleteWhen it's a weekday I want time to hurry up so it's the weekend. When it's the weekend I want time to slow down so it stays the weekend.
I'm trying, honest I am!
ReplyDeletethank you for that lovely reminder!
How'd you know I was feeling old? Just a mundane consideration, I know. I appreciate your lesson. And I will resume to be young at heart, and live moment by moment, which is all we really have anyway.
ReplyDeleteBut if I live life day by day without numbers how can I justify the big party I'm throwing to celebrate my upcoming 40th birthday??!!! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the little reminder! It's really hard to not think about age....and time. Like you said, when we're young, we want to be older. Now that I'm "older", I don't want to be young again, I just wonder where the heck those years went! That's why I truly do try to enjoy every day, every little joy, in life.
ReplyDeletePlease let me know how your dog made out at the vet. I hope all is well. :-) Charlie is doing fantastic on all his meds. He takes them like a trooper.
ReplyDeleteSi, he estado pensando en eso. Pinches números, me traen loca... la edad, el peso, la talla... te haré caso Olguini, no pensaré demasiado en eso :) aunque es dificil :S
