Life according to me, lesson 26

We waste a lot of time monitoring our ageing process: when we were kids, we wanted to grow up; once adults, we want to remain young. The truth is: age is overrated! live day by day without numbers, without tags...without remorse.

  1. So true, age is highly overrated. As Jack Benny wittily said, "Age is strictly a case of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter."

  2. I'm like that but on a week to week basis.

When it's a weekday I want time to hurry up so it's the weekend. When it's the weekend I want time to slow down so it stays the weekend.

  4. How'd you know I was feeling old? Just a mundane consideration, I know. I appreciate your lesson. And I will resume to be young at heart, and live moment by moment, which is all we really have anyway.

  5. But if I live life day by day without numbers how can I justify the big party I'm throwing to celebrate my upcoming 40th birthday??!!! :)

  6. Thanks for the little reminder! It's really hard to not think about age....and time. Like you said, when we're young, we want to be older. Now that I'm "older", I don't want to be young again, I just wonder where the heck those years went! That's why I truly do try to enjoy every day, every little joy, in life.

  7. Please let me know how your dog made out at the vet. I hope all is well. :-) Charlie is doing fantastic on all his meds. He takes them like a trooper.
