People are strange...

Paris, France, January 30, 2011 - Père Lachaise Cemetery

People are strange when you’re a stranger
Faces look ugly when you’re alone
Women seem wicked when you’re unwanted
Streets are uneven when you’re down

When you’re strange
Faces come out of the rain
When you’re strange
No one remembers your name

When you’re strange…
When you’re strange…
When you’re strange

Death makes angels of us all and gives us wings where we had shoulders smooth as ravens claws.
Jim Morrison

  5. Wow! Thanks, OJ! The minute I read your post title, I started singing that song in my mind, and then sang it all the way through! Very moving...seeing the photos and reading/hearing/singing the song lyrics. Sad AND Strange!

  8. Great post. I love the photos.
I read your previous post too and am so happy that you're enjoying Paris. (My undergraduate degree is in French education, so I've visited France twice. It was thrilling.) I know you'll have a fantastic time.

  11. ohhhhhhhhhhhhh how wonderful!~ you have no idea how incredible this feels to me. I am just returning from a funeral and I just told the story of my son's ashes. I have them.... all but the bone I swallowed and a portion of ashes I left on Jim Morrison's grave ...right before the police came and almost arrested me. BEAUTIFUL pictures! thank you........

  12. Hey, Olga, no había leído tu entrada de París, me encantó. Qué dicha (así, pues, en tico) que hayan podido disfrutar de ese rincón del mundo que yo también tanto quiero.

    Te mando un abrazote!!! ;)
