Procrastination is taking over my usual flow of inspiration
My source of stories locked somehow.
I have so many things to share… my latest journeys, dreams accomplished
People met, places visited, baseball and much more plans.
What to do when work is taking most of your usual enjoyable time?
Worst part is work used to be a pleasure…but is starting to feel like too much.
How to react when you need to take a break from taking breaks?
Where to start to force your brain to think again in full paragraphs
My eyes are tired…my body aches. It has been a little bit too much.
Excuse myself for this humble exercise...my attempt to write, to write again
But here I am at least just trying, to break my dry spell for a day.
kick the door in on that dry spell...write daily and dont worry about what it says...you must prime the pump before the water gushes...you know...
ReplyDeleteOJ, I can really relate. I've gone through similiar feelings lately, and am just now seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Allow yourself to do whatever it is you want to do...at any particular time. Be sure to take care of YOU first. I'm happy to see you're back on here again, even if it's sporadic! And thanks for stopping by my blog, too! Hugs to you!
ReplyDeleteJust start with a simple word my friend, it will happen. It is a new routine be patient, work and all.
ReplyDeleteBut we are always here :)

OJ--I have several lists/files of great first lines. If you email me at sroslawski@yahoo.com, I will send you them. Perhaps all you need is a line to get you jump-started?
ReplyDeleteJust offering...I, too am glad you're back. But you can't always force it.
If everyone else's tries were as good as yours, there would be a lot more writers in this world! This seems to me like the perfect start for breaking your dry spell :)
ReplyDeleteI agree with Brian. Also, sometimes - it's time to look within and consider if your work is still your love.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you're back.
I jot down blog ideas whenever they occur, and that way, I don't have to worry about having inspiration in the very moment I need it. Don't fret the current phase -- it's temporary!
ReplyDeleteOJ--I passed on an award to you. Check it out!
ReplyDelete(And I hope you're getting back into the writing groove--slowly but surely.)
